Lydiard park
On Thursday 8th July, the year 6 children enjoyed their first day of leavers' events with a trip to Lydiard Park in Swindon. The children had a fantastic day of orienteering, challenging themselves on the high ropes course and picnicking in the sunshine. The weather was beautiful and the children conducted themselves, as always, in a brilliant manner. When they returned to school, they then had their Leavers' Party, which involved more picnic foods and an inflatable obstacle course and disco dome (supplied by Active Trowbridge) on the school field. What a fantastic day!!
Swanage beach
On Wednesday 14th July, year 6 enjoyed a wonderfully sunny day at Swanage Beach. After quite a journey on the coaches, we arrived in Swanage and everyone was excited! The children enjoyed fish and chips on the beach, building sandcastles and wading into the water, followed by an ice cream before we left. Safe to say the children had a brilliant day and this was the perfect ending for them and their time at Bowerhill. Good luck to all our lovely year 6 children as they embark on their next adventure at secondary school!
